First Visit Expectations

We want to get to know you just as much as we want you to get to know us on your first visit! We are here to answer any questions or concerns you may have about our practice. 


During your first visit, our team will get to know you by asking questions about your medical and dental history. Certain medical conditions and medications can impact your treatment plan, so we will also ask you to list any medications, vitamins, or supplements you are taking and their dosages.


You will then have a comprehensive oral exam with our doctor. This may include x-rays and a non-invasive oral cancer screening. If no signs of periodontal disease are present, we will continue with a routine cleaning. If we do notice signs of periodontal disease, we may ask you to reschedule the cleaning portion of your appointment to allow more time for a thorough cleaning. 


Once your exam is finished, Dr. Ghafourpour will discuss her findings with you. Together, you will create a treatment plan that best fits your desires and needs, while also giving you a healthy, functional smile.
